Definitely a great hole in the spot! The combo deal is definitely the best bang for your buck. 2 items, basmati rice, AND (regular or garlic) naan for only ~$10 whaaaaa?

Best: chicken tikki masala, saag aloo (personal taste), curry chicken (warning! Spicy as hell so proceed with caution), & mushroom matter. Service varies but this place is more of a take-out vibe than sit down. There is one worker who is definitely friendly and efficient. He even chased us to the car one time because he accidentally forgot to give us our naan! I'm not sure if he's working there anymore since we haven't seen him in awhile but if not then congrats on graduating dude!

How much do I actually enjoy this spot you ask? I drive from the south LA area just to get my Indian food fixins. I feel like that says something about someone willing to trek down the 405 for food (yes even sometimes during Rush Hour).

    Not bad, not great.
I'm no expertise on food and especially Indian food but this place needs a little more flavor. I purchased the chicken tikka masala. Good amount of sauce and chicken but it didn't have enough flavor per bite. For the price it could be considered fine but I think I'd rather spend a few extra bucks for that missing taste.

The garlic gnaan was especially plain.
    The mango lasse was delicious.
The salad was never to be ordered again.
I might swing by just for the lasse or if I absolutely need some creamy chicken. But I would just buy the chicken tikka masala and nothing else. Grocery store gnaan is better.

Owners son was downing beers and vaping in the restaurant. When I called him out he just apologized and continued.

The former owner cared about this business. I'm very sad this place has gone completely downhill. When you don't care about your business it shows.

We've been coming here since what seems like forever. Being conveniently located within the city we grew up in and walking distance from our childhood homes, we've spent many lunches and dinners dining in and ordering to-go.
Yes, this place can use a major update and during the summers it's warm because there is no AC inside, but the food is SO GOOD it's worth it! Don't let this shy you away from eating here.
The owner is so nice and has always been friendly. Whenever she is in and we eat here my husband likes to talk business with her while we wait for our food.
Service is fast and fresh! The chicken masala and garlic naan, sooo delicious! We don't live as close anymore but this hasn't stopped us from coming to our favorite Indian spot.
Try them out, you won't be disappointed.

I love Indian food and have a favorite restaurant in Sunset Beach but was open to trying something new. I recently took an Indian Cooking class in which another participant recommended this spot so I grab an order to go on my route home.

As she described, this is a hole in the wall with limited seating. They offer reasonable prices with portion and entree options. Walking in, I was immediately turned off and questioning my judgement due to the lack of cleanliness of the establishment and the buffet style setting in which I am not sure my food came from or was cooked to order (which I doubt). I had ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala( medium spice) which comes with rice and I ordered a side of Samosas.

The second thing that turned me off was the meat inside my Chicken Tikka Masala. I'm assuming my order was mixed up with another as I have no clue what kind of meat it was but there were maybe 2-3 pieces of chicken but it appeared to be a mixture and the majority may have been goat. Definitely by the dark color, taste, smell and skin attached to it - it was not chicken. I did not care for it at all and as much as I hate to waste food and money, I just couldn't eat it and it went to waste. The Tikka sauce was average and it was not spicy at all which I was expecting some spice ordering it medium. I ended up just having the rice and samosas for dinner which were good.

You definitely get what you pay for. I'm sure they do a decent amount of business as they've been around for years but I will not revisit this place and cheat on my favorite Indian restaurant again as there is no comparison.
